Roadway Construction Focus Four and
Heat Hazards Workshop

This free four-hour virtual course from the American Road & Transportation Builders Association helps prevent fatalities and injuries in the roadway construction industry. You’ll be trained with the latest information on the main safety hazards for working in hot environments. This virtual course reviews the delivery of maintenance and operations services to the public, commonly known as public works. It identifies the equipment and personnel resources needed for efficient and effective service delivery. Learn what to consider when deciding to either purchase or lease equipment, in-house vs. contracting out work functions, emergency preparedness planning, and environmental responsibilities. Join us on April 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.!

Extending Pavement Life through Pavement Preservation Techniques, Strategies, and Preventative Maintenance Workshop

In this workshop, you'll get an overview of the available technology and tools for implementing a pavement preservation program. Pavement preservation takes the maintenance process one step further by carefully choosing and timing pavement maintenance applications to extend the life of the pavement. Join us this March in Brainerd or Mankato, or log on to participate virtually!

Gravel Road Maintenance and Design Workshop

This workshop helps supervisory personnel and operators better understand the materials, techniques, and equipment needed for maintaining gravel roads, as well as review new techniques and ideas. Slides, videos, and group discussions will help you learn from real-world examples and exchange information with instructors and other attendees. Join us this March or April in Brainerd, Willmar, or Mankato!

We coordinate our training schedule to meet the needs of the students in our Roads Scholar certificate programs. If you're not already participating, consider enrolling in either our Maintenance Operations and Technical Certificate or Leadership, Supervisory, and Operations Management Certificate program.

We'll also be launching a new Civil Engineering Technician Certificate program this fall. Watch your inbox for details!
